VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Seto Gurans National Child Development Services, Lalitpur (SGNCDS) is a long-standing organization committed for Early Childhood Development. It is registered as an Educational Non-Government organization. Seto Guras in partnership with Handicap International is implementing the program entitled "Strengthening the Inclusion of Children with disabilities in Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) for Inclusive ECED", therefore vacancy announcement to fulfill the following positions.

Position: MEAL Officer 

Required No: 1

Terms & Conditions: Fixed Term Contract 

Location: National level with frequent travel to field (Rauthat and Achham districts) 

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent (Statistic).
  • At least 2 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS/ in development projects.
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for (data collection, analysis and production of reports) formative study and surveys.
  • Proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS system, Sub-system software using database software.
  • Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software SPSS and excel.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Nepali and English.

Key Responsibilities

Coordination and collaboration

  • Coordinate and collaborate with donor, project coordinator, admin finance officer and local partners to develop the overall framework for project MEAL, including requirements, reporting, baseline, midterm reviews and evaluation surveys

Data base management and Validation

  • Maintain existing indicator tracking tools; develop additional databases and tracking tools as needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions
  • Analyse data for accuracy, flag validation or quality issues, and contribute to system fixes 
  • Aggregate and analyse data received from project areas and validate data by field visit. 
  • Generate monthly indicator reports for tracking progress against key indicators as needed.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Contribute to developing and reporting of project reviews, assessments, surveys, and other analytic or evaluation processes.
  • Conduct field visits for data validation and to monitor the quality and completeness of data sets; coordinate data collection at project sites to monitor program development and ensure timely compilation and reporting of data; capture and document lessons learned; challenges, findings and scaling up best practices

Deliverables

  • Develop, implement, and assess monitoring frameworks for program activities.
  • Facilitate design of “SMART” objectives, logic models, monitoring frameworks, and evaluation plans during work-planning process
  • Ensure quality and timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual donor reports; manage preparation of additional reports as guided by Project coordinator.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to project and partner staff in planning and implementing MEAL systems and activities, data-based program decision-making, and results reporting; provide training as needed.
  • Create and integrate graphics in reports and information of project activities to help visualize data in a meaningful way.
  • Edit content and presentation of all reporting and deliverables before submittal to ensure superior quality and professionalism.
  • Strengthen relationships with local partner organization, donors, private sectors partners, and national authorities
  • Perform other duties as required by Project coordinator and executive director
