Job Title: Marketing Officer (Nutrition & School Program Outreach)

Location: Kathmandu Valley, Nepal (with occasional travel outside the Valley)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Marketing Officer with a background in Food Technology or Nutrition, and strong experience in marketing and outreach. The ideal candidate will lead our efforts to introduce Vertex’s nutritious food products to schools and local governments, integrating them into daily school meal and snack programs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Outreach Campaigns:

• Conduct door-to-door outreach to private schools and municipal offices, introducing our school-targeted products.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Meet with school principals, management committees, and municipal education departments to pitch Vertex's meal solutions.

Program Integration:

• Work closely with schools to tailor meal/snack menus based on age, dietary needs, and preferences using Vertex products

Marketing Strategy Implementation:

• Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, promotions, and awareness sessions at the school and community levels.

Feedback Collection & Reporting:

• Gather feedback from stakeholders and parents to continuously improve product offerings and engagement approaches.

Partnership Development:

• Build lasting relationships with educational institutions and local authorities to support long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Marketing, Management, or a related field with 2+ years of marketing experience;

OR

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Background or academic exposure in Food Technology or Nutrition (preferred)
• Solid understanding of child nutrition and school meal programming
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Nepali and English
• Comfortable with frequent field visits within Kathmandu Valley and occasional travel outside the valley
• Passion for social impact and improving children's health through nutrition
