Land Right Advocacy Officer/Market System Development Officer

Mahuli Community Development Center (MCDC) is one of a non-governmental organization working in Saptari district since 1994 It works for various social developmental activities coordinating with developing partners and government organization.  MCDC Nepal has been being partnership with Habitat for Humanity International Nepal (HFHI) for 13 years continuously. Right now, the Program titled “CHHANA program” Safe shelter support to ultra-poor, vulnerable, marginalized, and landless families and land right for landless in partnership of government in province No. 2, we invite applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens for the following position: The positions are located in Saptari and siraha district field office.

Position 

1.  Land Right Advocacy Officer – 1 position

Qualification and Experiences:

Nepali citizen having At least 2 years of similar experience with INGos/NGOs and government especially in Terai region of Nepal. The position is based in Saptari district with frequent visit to the project locations in Saptari and Siraha district also. The position holder is responsible for overall management and Implementation of Land right advocacy activities and related component. She/he will lead the planning, implementation and monitoring of construction work of the project and its advocacy of land occupied by house or family and joint land ownership for beneficiaries, MFI members and PASSA group members in Saptari and Siraha district and ensure the overall achievement of project outcomes related to Land rights, joint land ownership, house construction and land right advocacy. Qualification and Experiences:

• At least Bachelor's degree in BA/LLB or BL and or relevant field, solid working experience on land right advocacy with Joint land title tenure and having creative idea and skill on right based advocacy and promotion of joint land ownership. Universities with 2 years of experience in related fields.
• Knowledge and working experiences of Generally to co-ordinate, loving with Line agency and Local government and related stakeholders.
• Computer skills in MS Office and Data Base Programs, Particularly Excel and excellent command on Nepali and English typing skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, Nepali and Knowledge of Terrain local languages (Tharu, Maithali) will be an added advantage.
• Valid two-wheeler driving license is mandatory, able to ride a two-wheeler in a rural environment.

2.  Market System Development Officer – 1 position

Qualification and Experiences:

• Having Bachelor's degree in Business administration or Bachelor of Business Management or Bachelor of Marketing or MBA degree and or having solid working experience on Marketing, developing management system and having creative idea and skill on promotion of local production and Business 
• At least three years of experience in related fields.
• Knowledge and working experiences of Generally to coordinate, loving with Line agency and Local government and related stakeholders.
• Computer skills in MS Office and Data Base Programs, Particularly Excel and excellent command on Nepali and English typing skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written of English, Nepali and Knowledge of Terrain local languages (Tharu, Maithali) will be an added advantage.
