Vacancy Announcement: Knowledge Management Specialist

ANSAB is a civil society organization that has been working for biodiversity conservation and livelihoods improvement across South Asia for three decades. It places community empowerment and economic incentives at the heart of its approach, and has been consistently evolving, consolidating, institutionalizing and advancing the approaches and strategies for the promotion of community-based enterprises and value chains, natural resources management and biodiversity conservation, enabling policy environment and multi-stakeholders.

ANSAB is currently seeking young, energetic and career-oriented candidates for the following position to be based in Kathmandu. The detail of the position with responsibilities, essential skills and qualifications are as follows:

POSITION: KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Duty station: Kathmandu

Duration: One and half years

Required number: 1

Major roles and responsibilities:

The Knowledge Management Specialist will carryout the following activities:

• Ensure that the knowledges and evidence generated from the implementations are systematically captured, organized, documented and disseminated.
• Analysis and documentation: Develop knowledge products including success stories, project reports, briefs and produce IEC materials such as newsletters, brochures, flyers, blog articles etc. based on documented evidence and lessons gathered in collaboration with partners, stakeholders, and project teams;
• Dissemination: Organize knowledge sharing events, dissemination workshops, awareness programs and dialogues to enhance outreach and strengthen the integration of knowledge and evidence into policies and programs.
• Integration: Work with IT and communication teams, integrate knowledge products and outcomes into organizational system to maintain and update knowledge repositories, databases, digital libraries, websites, social media platforms, and publications.

Qualifications and skills:

• Master’s degree in agriculture preferably in agro-ecology. Or Bachelor in Agriculture and Master’s in data science, economics or other social sciences.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience on knowledge management.
• Proficient in data organizing, processing, analysis and use of relevant tools and software incl. MS Office Packages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Nepali language.
