In Nepal, Restless Development has been working in the youth and adolescents development sector for more than 25 years. It is the recipient of several international and national awards. It works in formal partnership with Ministry of Youth and Sports and in over 35 districts across the country.

Restless Development Nepal, in partnership with UNICEF Nepal has been implementing the “Zero Tolerance – GBV free schools in Nepal” programme in 200 schools across four districts of Central Terai (Parsa, Rautahat, Mahottari and Dhanusha – Province 2) which started in May 2016 and comes to the end in December 2018. This programme is a collaborative effort between USAID and UNICEF to reduce the prevalence of school-related gender-based violence in Nepal, and establish child- and adolescent-friendly procedures to respond to incidents of GBV when they do occur. This consultancy seeks to conduct an end-line survey to assess the progress made towards the project targets in comparison with the baseline values, and to explore the reasons behind the project's ability to reach or not reach the target, its best practices and lessons learned.

This consultancy is expected to be developed by a national consulting firm. The team leader will be responsible for undertaking the study from start to finish and for managing the study team under the supervision of Restless Development MEL Unit, for the data collection and analysis, as well as report drafting and finalization.

Applying Procedure

The bidder should submit financial and technical proposal in a separate sealed envelope specifying a subject. The sealed bid should be either submitted to Restless Development Nepal Office at Jwagal, Lalitpur(House no 7, 2nd Cross Street, Contact no. +977-15548192 and +977-15548292) or should be send through courier((GPO Box. 4892 Jwagal Lalitpur, House no 7, 2nd Cross Street, Contact no. +977-15548192 and +977-15548292). Sealed bids received after 21 September 2018 will not be accepted.

Restless Development reserves the right to reject any or all proposals without providing any reason and has no obligation to accept any offer made. Furthermore, proposals not strictly adhering to the conditions may not be considered by Restless Development, whose decision on the matter shall be final.

Note: Initially technical proposals will undergo in-depth assessment by Restless Development Nepal, then the evaluation of financial proposal of only successful bidders will be done.
