Established in 1990, Banke UNESCO Club is a non-government organization registered under the District Administration Office, Banke and affiliated to Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu, The establishment of the organization has been inspired by the ideals of non-violence, social justice, self-reliance, sustainable development and volunteerism. The organization is dedicated to the ideals of holistic and integrated development based on a harmonious balance of socio-culture, material, scientific environmental aspects and increase in literacy rate of Disadvantaged, Marginalized, Deprived, and other Poorest of Poorer groups (POP) including women and children through providing quality education.

Banke UNESCO Club has signed a contract with RTI International for implementing and managing the community mobilization component of the Early Grade Reading Program (EGRP) in Bardiya district. The overall purpose of the community mobilization of EGRP is to increase family and community support for improvement of early grade reading for children from grades one to three. Banke UNESCO Club will work directly with School, SMC, PTA, Early Grade Reading sub-committee and all relevant community forums in close coordination with Education Development and Coordination Section at district level and municipalities in local for implementing activities related to community mobilization of EGRP in Bardiya District.

Banke UNESCO Club is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following position to implement community mobilization component of EGRP in Bardiya district. Finance Coordinator (FC) is responsible for recording and reporting financial transaction with ensuring compliance with donor rules, regulation according to Nepal Government Laws and oganizational Policies related to activities implemented under community mobilization of Early Grade Reading Program to increase family and community support for Early Grade Reading Program Bardiya district in Nepal

  • Bachelor’s in Management, Accounts, Business Studies or relevant field such as economics with 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience in managing USAID funds will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of current government's tax policies and labor laws.
  • Competent in computer skills Microsoft office specially in the use of MS Excel and any other accounting software
  • Knowledge of accounting, auditing system and financial monitoring system
  • Oral fluency in English and Nepali language for communication and also report writing skill in English is a must
