Chief Master Trainer  – LNGB (Leave No Girl Behind)- Aarambh

Location: Based in Rautahat, (100% )

Reports to: Project Manager

We do so by delivering culturally sensitive, services that advance adolescents’ health, safety, confidence, and leadership skills.

Hamor Palo is currently looking for a qualified and competent Chief Master Trainer for a  five-year program “Leave No Girl Behind (LNGB)” funded by the Girls’ Education Challenge (GEC). The project will be based in Province 2 and focuses on life skill development and school based programming.

Job Description

  • Develop and design training curriculums and workshop materials.
  • Training of Training (TOT) delivery at rural and remote sites.
  • Develop and conduct Training of Mentors (TOM) and other relevant trainings.
  • Train/Supervise Master Trainers
  • Field trips and management of local staff (recruitment, training, monitoring, and providing feedback).
  • Monitoring of local trainers and mentors and school based activities.
  • Coordination of activities with rural schools, service providers, trainers, officials, local organizations, management and other stakeholders.
  • Translations and typing in English and Nepali
  • Baseline surveys, impact assessments, interviews.
  • Collection, compilation, translation and evaluation of data (including filling in data from questionnaires).
  • Problem solving and other activities not specified above as required by the course of work
  • Revise training curriculum and ensure its relevance to the context
  • Develop and design supplementary/new training and workshop as per project
  • Compile and submit weekly reports on performance and evaluation of the trainings
  • Communicate regularly with line manager
  • Coordinate with other team members and schools

Qualifications and required skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, development studies or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of issues such as early marriage, child protection, women's rights, SGBV, girls' empowerment and/or other relevant subjects.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skill in English and Nepali. 
  • Experience in developing hands on training manual and curriculum will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and cultural sensitivity in field.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow through.
  • Ability to multitask and very good attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly make decisions and flexibility to react to changing circumstances.
