TEAM AND ROLE OVERVIEW

• The Fundraising Officer is being recruited, in a full-time position, or as a freelancer to aQysta global team
• The Fundraising Officer will work to raise funds through project proposals and grants to expand aQysta’s Grown Farm Incubator in Nepal, India, and Malawi.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conceptualizing proposals and framing them to call requirements and aQysta’s strategy
• Develop exciting, convincing, coherent proposals for grants and projects, including written proposals, budgets, and presentations
• Organize the internal application process in order to obtain all documents for submission within quality and time
• Exploring and establishing partnerships for project proposals (if applicable)
• Briefing successful project proposals, alignment, and handover to the project execution team
• Overview of organizational strategy and pathways in discussion with the CEO to devise the public fundraising strategy
• Monitor and identify upcoming suitable funding opportunities for public funds, grants, and proposals
• Co-develop strategies with the management team of aQysta on funding needs priorities

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in fundraising and proposal writing for innovative startups/SMEs or innovations, preferably in the agriculture, sustainability, or development sector
• Having a Master’s degree in the relevant field of sustainable agriculture / renewable energy / sustainability / communications or similar
• Love writing and telling convincing stories
• Experience and knowledge in budgeting
• Combination of attention to detail and strategic thinker
• Organized working style with submission for deadlines being prepared well in time
• Comfortable talking to internal and external stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and proactive in work approach.
