Terms of Reference (TOR) for Finance Trainee

Position: Finance Trainee/ Paid Trainee

Department: Finance

Duration: 3 months (June 2025 - August 2025)

Field visits required: Not required 

Duty station: Heifer International Nepal Country Office

Major Functions: 

  • Assist in checking arithmetical accuracy of payables and settlements.
  • Assist in filing and documentation of all finance related documents.
  • Assist in scanning and document upload in ERP system.
  • Assist in securing proper supporting documents and signatures.
  • Assist in banking transactions.
  • Assist in vendor file scan, upload and filing.
  • Assist internal as well as statutory auditors with files requested upon need.
  • Assist in other Finance and Admin tasks, as instructed. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of Higher Secondary Level education is required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is desirable.
  • Basic computer skills such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint are required.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work with a flexible schedule
  • Able to effectively promote Heifer’s mission values, and objectives
  • Sensitivity in working with multiple cultures and beliefs, and to gender equity
