Recovering Nepal Women (RN Women) is a National Network of women drug users and drug user-led service organizations. It was officially declared through regional and national-level consultations on 12th January 2018 among service providers and individual activists. These consultations aimed to identify issues, gaps, and ways forward to support Women Who Use Drugs (WWUDs) in Nepal. Following this process, RN Women was legally registered on 2nd January 2020 as the National Network of Women Who Use Drugs (WWUDs) in Nepal. The network is dedicated to influencing policies that improve the quality of life for WWUDs, reinstating their rights, empowering them, and mitigating the negative consequences of drug use, including blood-borne infections. RN Women strives to create an enabling environment for universal access to meaningful and gender-sensitive harm reduction services.

RN Women is incoming Sub-Recipient (SR) of United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Nepal/Global Fund for HIV/AIDS program of Women Who Inject Drugs (WWID) under GC-7 grant. Upon signing the contract with UNDP, RN Women will implement the program in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kaski and Sunsari. 

Position Title: Finance Officer

Duration: July 2026- July 2027(Initial 3 months will be probation period)

Working Station: Kumaripati, Lalitpur

Working Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM (Monday to Friday)

Salary Range: Rs.30,000 to Rs.35,000

Job Summary: 

The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial transactions occurred during a project period.
  • Maintain accurate financial record (books of accounts) with adequate supporting and consult to team on financial or accounting issues involving activities to ensure proper compliance with laws and accounting practices.
  • Prepare financial report (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, yearly or as per the requirement of the donors and organizational rules) corresponding with program focal person and report to executive board and funding agencies.
  • Prepare budget and amendments, forecasting working with the program focal person and the management committee.
  • Assist in performing different official tasks and preparing different reports.
  • Oversee and guide partner organization on financial recording, reporting and administrative compliance.
  • Maintain a cash forecasting system to ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the working requirements of the organization. 
  • Maintain day-to-day administrative task of the organization.

Education, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Having Bachelor's Degree in Commerce.
  • Knowledge of the accounting principle of the Government of Nepal, INGO/NGO system 
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position 
  • Knowledge and experience in administration, logistics, procurement and human resource management
  • Knowledge and experience in monthly financial reporting and quarterly budget projection and review 
  • Good knowledge of computer application 
  • Can prepare periodic financial reports
