Rastriya Rojgar Prawardhan Kendra (RRPK) is an NGO dedicated to developing rural communities in Education, Health & Nutrition, Child Protection, Livelihood, Human Rights, Safer Migration, gender and empowerment, good governance, Disaster Risk Reduction and WASH in Nepal since 2004. It works with a mission to improve the lives of people through economic, social, cultural and physical transformation. It has been implementing Samunnati (Sponsorship) Program in Sarlahi District since 2017 in partnership with Save the Children.

Rastriya Rojgar Prawardhan Kendra invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates (Nepali citizen only) for the following position under Samunnati (Sponsorship) Program.

1) Position: Field Officer (Education) – 2

Term: Fixed Term Contract

Reports to: Project Coordinator-Education

Location: Malangawa, Sarlahi

Working Area: Godaita and Balara Municipality

Purpose of the Role

The position holder will be responsible for the management of sponsorship Education program, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial and project tracking, implementation, monitoring and supervision, technical backstopping, data and information management, and reporting under education theme.

The position holder will provide technical leadership and capacity-building support to teachers, school management bodies, ECCD facilitators, children, parents, and key education stakeholders. In addition, the role includes coaching, mentoring, and supervisory support to community mobilizers, teachers, and community volunteers facilitating education interventions in schools and communities.

The position holder will also lead and support training, assessments, surveys, research activities, documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and success stories, and ensure timely sharing with project teams, donor agencies, and relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, the role will support senior project coordinators and field coordinators as required, ensuring that program decisions and actions serve the best interests of children.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance to teachers and facilitators on ECCD teaching and learning methodologies, Literacy Boost and Numeracy Boost approaches, School Leadership and Management (SLaM), Recovery and Accelerated Learning (ReAL) Plans, integrated curricula and education protocols.
  • Familiar with inclusive education policies, plans and implementation approaches.
  • Able to align project interventions with national inclusive and quality education strategies, standards, protocols, and School Education Sector Plan (SESP).
  • Ensure high-quality implementation of community and school-based interventions in accordance with the sponsorship Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and log-frame.

2. Field Engagement and Support

  • The position holder will take primary accountability for field-level program implementation, allocating approximately 70% of his/her time to fieldwork, 20% to desk-based work, and 10% to local level coordination, networking, reporting and documentation.
  • Conduct routine monitoring visits to schools, ECCD centers, school-at-home initiatives, and education related sessions.
  • Provide on-site coaching, mentoring, technical support, and problem-solving to strengthen service delivery.

3. Joint Monitoring & Coordination

  • Organize and participate in joint monitoring visits with municipal, district/provincial authorities, and project teams.
  • Follow up on monitoring findings and ensure timely corrective actions for quality improvement.
  • Track progress in service delivery, referral pathways, and coordination mechanisms.

4. Project Implementation & Delivery

  • Lead the implementation of education program activities in line with the sponsorship annual plan (SAP) and Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP).
  • Facilitate education-related trainings, workshops, meetings, orientations, and seminars at schools and community levels.
  • Ensure all education activities adhere to agreed quality benchmarks, implementation procedures, and donor approved log-framework.
  • Plan and ensure the timely procurement and distribution of education-related materials to support effective program delivery.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate delivery of educational goods and services to targeted schools and communities.

5. Supervision, Coaching & Capacity Building

  • Coordinate and facilitate training for Teachers, SMCs, PTAs and Parents with disability, Education facilitators.
  • Provide on-site coaching during field visits and ensure effective transfer of skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor improvements in facilitator competencies and the quality of services delivered.

6. Reporting, Monitoring & Documentation

  • Prepare and submit event reports, quarterly reports, semi-annual and annual reports, and donor reports in line with agreed timelines and formats .
  • Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements, and procedures.
  • Conduct semi-annual and annual result reviews, share challenges and opportunities, and develop action plans to improve indicator performance.
  • Conduct regular quality monitoring visits against quality benchmarks and report to the line manager on monthly basis.
  • Conduct joint monitoring, technical monitoring, output monitoring, whole school/ECCD monitoring, school/ECCD observation, distribution monitoring, follow up monitoring and supportive supervision monitoring visits for effective and efficient delivery of education programs at field.
  • Ensure functional complaint and feedback mechanisms at schools, communities, and program sites.
  • Lead and support surveys, assessments, research, and mapping exercises related to education.
  • Ensure timely data collection, entry, coding, cleaning, analysis, and reporting through online/offline databases.
  • Update baseline, plans, and achievements in Online Program Management Information System on a monthly basis.
  • Document and disseminate good practices, best practices, lesson learned, and success stories related to sponsorship program.
  • Assist field staff and program coordinators in developing tools, templates, and guidance materials for effective management and implementation of sponsorship program.
  • Verify the accuracy, reliability, timeliness, and completeness of data submitted by field staff, schools, ECCD centers.
  • Maintain monitoring log, issues log, education database, case studies and other relevant documentation for program visibility, learning and accountability.

7. Financial Compliance & Resource Management

  • Lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking of education theme under sponsorship program.
  • Develop annual budget, detailed implementation plan, and quarterly forecasts in coordination with donor and partners.
  • Prepare education procurement plan, media and communication plan, and sponsorship annual plan as and when required by funding partner.
  • Track plan versus achievement, budget versus expenditure and procurement progress on monthly basis for education theme.
  • Identify and justify any budget variances or deviations and propose corrective actions.

8. Teamwork, Conduct & Communication

  • Promote effective teamwork, coordination, and communication across technical and administrative teams.
  • Uphold professional conduct, ethical behavior, and responsiveness to feedback.
  • Contribute to donor communications, review meetings, and project strategy discussions.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to safeguarding principles within the Samunnati (Sponsorship) Program.

9. Compliance, Branding & Audit Preparedness

  • Ensure proper branding and visibility of IEC materials, reports, and event materials.
  • Maintain complete and organized documentation for all project activities.
  • Support preparation for donor visits, reviews, and audits.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Sociology, or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience or a master's degree in education or a related field with at least two years of experience.
  • Ability to facilitate relevant trainings, workshops, meetings, and seminars.
  • Strong skills in program planning, budgeting, and operational management.
  • Sound understanding of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL).
  • Experience coordinating with local governments, provincial authorities, and district line agencies.
  • Strong communication and computer skills, including word, excel, power point, email and internet use.
  • Excellent report-writing skills in both Nepali and English.
  • Willingness to reside and work in program implementation sites.
  • Ability to work respectfully and effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts and backgrounds.

2) Position: Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) –1

Reports to: Field Coordinator-Livelihood

Location: Malangawa, Sarlahi

Working Area: Godaita and Balara Municipality

Purpose of the Role

The position holder will be responsible for carries out a range of responsibilities in the areas of Child Sensitive Livelihood (CSL) in the structures of impact area as well as Community Mobilization. S/He have to supervise all the Farmer group members, MEs, VTs & assist to Field Coordinator in program activities especially in the CSL activities, program planning, budgeting, forecasting, implementation, monitoring/supervision and reporting of the project.

The position holder will also lead and support training, assessments, surveys, research activities, documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and success stories, and ensure timely sharing with project teams, donor agencies, and relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, the role will support senior project coordinators and field coordinators as required, ensuring that program decisions and actions serve the best interests of children.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance to Farmers, farmer field school, MEs, VTs and facilitators on life skill sessions.
  • Familiar with organic farming, post harvesting and production management, IPM kit and modern agriculture technologies as well as climate justice village modality.
  • Ensure high-quality implementation of on-farm and off-farm interventions in accordance with the sponsorship Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and log-frame.

2. Field Engagement and Support

  • The JTA is 100% accountable and responsible for field-based implementation, program management and reporting. S/He will manage his/her 100% time for implementation and management of field-based intervention including field visit and support Field Coordinator for reporting, local level and district based coordination and networking.
  • Conduct routine monitoring visits to farmer groups, MEs, VTs and related sessions.
  • Provide on-site coaching, mentoring, technical support, and problem-solving to strengthen service delivery.

3. Joint Monitoring & Coordination

  • Support in conduction and participation in joint monitoring visits with municipal, district/provincial authorities, and project teams.
  • Follow up on monitoring findings and ensure timely corrective actions for quality improvement.
  • Track progress in service delivery, referral pathways, and coordination mechanisms.

4. Project Implementation & Delivery

  • Support to the Field Coordinator in planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, reporting and management of CSL related Activities.
  • Day to Day Onsite coaching and technical support to farmer group and other CSL groups
  • Work closely with and in the guidance of Livelihood Coordinator (FC) in supporting planning and implementing integrated on farm and off farm activities at the community level.
  • Involve in selection of Local Resource Persons and forming different groups using PLA tool
  • Support for the selection of target households for immediate support.
  • Assist for timely preparation of quarterly/annual plan with targets, budget and timeframe of the field level activities.
  • Assist Livelihood Coordinator (FC) in carrying out needs assessments on training, input support and other nutrition promoting activities.
  • Assist a Livelihood Coordinator (FC) for focus group discussions and meetings with organized farmers groups on performance of project.
  • Conduct Farmers field School on integrated farming.
  • Maintain database and records on field level project activities and accomplishments and report to agriculture officers
  • Support to manage timely supply of inputs with improved technologies and skill to farmers groups.
  • Coordinate with the community level and related stakeholders.
  • Ensure cross-cutting issues such as gender and inclusion mainstreamed throughout the project cycle.
