Expression of Interest for Gender Audit

World Vision International Nepal (WVI Nepal) and Rural Women's Development and Unity Centre (RUWDUC) are implementing the "Amplifying Advocacy through Strategic Engagement Project" with the time frame of 1st October 2023 to 30th September 2024. The goal of the project is to scale up the Advocacy Engagement for Child wellbeing through national, provincial and local level dialogues on health, education, child protection issues and resilient livelihood.
The project is driven by the vision of empowering marginalized communities, advancing gender equality, fostering social inclusion to address the root causes of inequality and injustice through advocacy. In recognition of the fundamental importance of mainstreaming gender and social inclusion principles, the project seeks to integrate these considerations into its core strategies, activities, and outcomes. To ensure that the organization and projects are effectively fulfilling their commitment to gender inclusivity, it has been decided to conduct a comprehensive Gender Audit.
RUWDUC now seeks application from the Individual Consulting Personnel/Expert for the following works;
- Develop an Inception Report: Develop an inception report incorporating robust and appropriate audit methodology comparable to international standards that outlines among others, the approach, data collection tools, sampling strategy, and analysis framework for conducting the gender and social inclusion audit.
- Conduct Data Collection: To gain insights into the project's gender and social inclusion practices, the consultant should collect data through a variety of methods, such as document reviews in the center (policies, guidelines, reports, questionnaires) and field surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and observations etc.
- Analyze Gender audit data: Analyze data to assess the project's performance in integrating all gender equality considerations as mentioned above like strategies, activities, outcomes etc.
- Identify Gaps and Challenges: Identify gaps, challenges, and potential barriers in the project's approach to promoting gender perspectives both at the organizational and programmatic levels.
- Provide Recommendations: Based on the audit findings, present clear and actionable recommendations to enhance the project's effectiveness.
- Review Compliance, Program and Management Audit status to ensure that the project adheres to relevant international standards, national laws, and policies related to gender perspectives.
- Engage with Stakeholders: The consultant should actively engage with project staff, beneficiaries, partners, communities, and other stakeholders to gain insights, feedback, and inputs.
- Prepare, Present and defend the Comprehensive Report: Develop a comprehensive audit report that includes an executive summary, methodology, findings, analysis, recommendations, and an actionable plan in project's future activities and make a short PP Presentation in RUWDUC.
