Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is an international NGO founded in 1943 in the United States and has been working in more than 100 countries around the world supporting the most vulnerable communities to rebuild their lives, alleviate human suffering, advance full human development, and foster peace and justice. In Nepal, CRS has supported over 23,000 households and communities to rebuild their homes, infrastructure and livelihoods from the devastating 2015 earthquakes. Recently, CRS has been supporting households and communities in various districts to mitigate the risks and impact of COVID-19.

Acknowledging the recovery needs of the earthquake affected families, CRS is further expanding its programming through ReCoVER for 3 years across the earthquake affected districts. ReCoVER will start the project implementation in Gandaki province - Lamjung, Tanahun and Kaski districts. The project will identify the project participants in coordination with National Reconstruction Authority and local government authorities in these districts and as required, will expand the coverage to other districts, province after initial assessments. The program willfocus on the reconstruction of homes for the most vulnerable families in addition to recovery of livelihoods and rehabilitation of community infrastructure.

CRS is seeking an implementing partner to support ReCoVER implementation and would like to invite NGOs with experience in post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction to submit an Expression of Interest (EoI).

EOI should be delivered to CRS before 5 PM (NST) on 18 March 2021 (Thursday).

IMPORTANT: Interested organizations are requested to electronically register for an information sharing and Q&A session by 14 March 2021 through http://bit.ly/crsnepal-eoi.  CRS will share the project details, EOI application process and answer questions from the organizations during the session on 15 March 2021. Details of Information sharing session will be shared over email.

The final selection is subject to Government of Nepal approval of the project.

* Organizations that submitted the EOI previously are also requested to register and resubmit. This readvertisement of EOI is based on the consultations with government possibly requiring ReCoVER expand the geographic coverage into other districts, provinces after assessment.
