Society for Integrated Allied Nepal (SIAN) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and experienced consultants/firms specializing in research related to the protection and promotion of children's rights.
1. Background
Established in 2004, the Society for Integrated Allied Nepal (SIAN) is a national NGO committed to advancing child rights protection and promotion, inclusive development, democracy, and human resource development across Nepal. SIAN’s core work revolves around child rights protection and promotion, motivated to provide quality education, ensure food security, and create safe, dignified environments for all Nepalese children, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or religion. Moreover, our work revolves around improving health and nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), education, and access to opportunities for local communities. The organization also focuses on the well-being of women, marginalized individuals, and rural communities, aiming for a transformed and interdependent society through capacity enhancement and optimal utilization of local resources. SIAN partners with a wide array of organizations, including INGOs, other NGOs, government entities, private sectors, and community-based organizations, believing these alliances lead to more impactful results.
2. Objectives of the Consulting services
The selected consultant(s)/firm will be engaged on a project-by-project basis to conduct research, studies, assessments, and evaluations related to
- Child protection mechanisms and policies.
- Child labor, trafficking, and exploitation.
- Access to education and quality learning for all children.
- Child health and nutrition.
- Participation and empowerment of children.
- Impact of social, economic, and environmental factors on children's well-being.
- Investment in Children
- Prioritization of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in protection and promotion of child rights.
- Development and implementation of child-friendly policies and programs.
3. Scope of Work
Depending on the specific research need, the scope of work may include, but not be limited to
- Developing research methodologies and tools.
- Conducting literature reviews and desk research.
- Designing and implementing quantitative and qualitative data collection.
- Analyzing data and interpreting findings.
- Developing comprehensive research reports, policy briefs, and presentations.
- Providing recommendations for program development and advocacy.
- Facilitating workshops and discussions with stakeholders.
4. Eligibility Criteria
Consultants/firms must meet the following minimum criteria
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 5 years for individuals, 7 years for firms) in conducting research in the field of child protection, child rights, social development, or related areas.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality research reports and publications.
- Strong understanding of national and international child rights frameworks and policies.
- Excellent analytical, research, and report writing skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of Nepali will be an added advantage.
- Adherence to ethical research principles, particularly concerning research involving children.

5. Submission Requirements
Interested consultants/firms are invited to submit their Expression of Interest, on procurement.sian@gmail.com by 5:00 PM, 13 July 2025 with the subject line "EOI _Consulting Services_ Name of Applicant".

6. Selection Process
- Shortlisted consultants/firms will be invited to submit detailed technical and financial proposals for specific assignments as they arise.
- SIAN reserves the right to accept or reject any EOI and to annul the EOI process at any time without any liability.
- Submission of EOI does not guarantee any future contract.
