Sabal Nepal invites Expression of Interest (EoI) from qualified and registered firms, organizations, or individual consultants to develop the Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Framework (LDCRF) for Saptakoshi Municipality, Saptari District under the Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DiDRR) Project.
Background
Sabal Nepal is a non-profit organization based in Rajbiraj, Saptari, working to strengthen resilience and support vulnerable communities. Under the DiDRR Project, Sabal Nepal aims to enhance disaster preparedness and climate resilience at the local level through the development of an inclusive and practical LDCRF.
Objective of the Assignment
To support Saptakoshi Municipality in developing a comprehensive and inclusive Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Framework (LDCRF), including risk assessment, planning, and validation with stakeholders.
Scope of Work
The consultant/firm will be responsible for:
- Conducting community-level consultations/FGDs
- Supporting Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (CVCA)
- Developing risk mapping and evacuation plans
- Mobilizing experts and volunteers for data collection
- Facilitating municipality-level consultation and validation workshops
- Preparing and finalizing the LDCRF document
Deliverables
- CVCA report including risk map and evacuation plan
- Draft and final LDCRF document
- Consultation and validation workshop reports
- Final endorsed LDCRF by municipality
Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants should have:
- Proven experience in DRM, climate resilience, or local planning
- Experience in CVCA, risk mapping, and community-based assessments
- Experience working with municipalities and local governments
- Qualified team including lead consultant and technical experts
