The Rural Women’s Development and Unity Centre (RUWDUC)

The Rural Women’s Development and Unity Centre (RUWDUC) was established in 1995 with the objective of empowering and uplifting disadvantaged women, adolescents and children. RUWDUC believes every human being has an inherent right to a healthy life, equal opportunities to avail education, employment, quality health care, and access to justice, and to live a violence-free and peaceful life, devoid from all forms of discrimination.

RUWDUC/Bhageswor Rural Municipality/OXFAM/MUSD Project is constructing Micro Hydro at Chudivillage of Bhageswor Rural Municipality, Dadeldhura. The major innovation in the project is to explore a governance modality on how water use in a basin can be managed more significantly when the resources are made accessible to wider community through a Multi-use system.  The other aim is to increase the access and control over their water resources

RUWDUC/CMHP Project now seeks application from Individual Consulting Personnel/Expert to develop the photo/video documentary with the following key responsibilities: 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

a) Background of the community including infrastructures, their economic condition and other services available, 

b) Progress of the Micro Hydro construction from the installation phase of the Electrical component, setting, distribution and handover process. 

c) Inauguration ceremony

d) Impact of Micro Hydro, Women Empowerment Centres in the community

e) Possibilities for entrepreneurship at community level 

f) Success stories including some interviews of local government representatives, community members, staff

g) Early Warning system and its impact

CONTRACT DATE: Immediate
