Alliance for Social Mobilization Pvt. Ltd. (Alliance Nepal) has been providing development facilitation support to multi/bi-lateral and national organizations on policy, strategy and programs in Nepal and abroad since 1997. Alliance Nepal’s strengths are in the areas of project implementation and capacity building of the professionals and institutions. Its niche also lies in providing Vocational Training and linking the youths with Employment, development of training package and managing complete training cycle among the others.

Alliance Nepal is one of the partners to implement five-year Food for Peace/Community Resilience Program (SABAL) being funded by USAID . Mandates include providing vocational training and linking them with wage/self-employment plus financial literacy/carrier counseling to approximately 13,700 beneficiaries in six districts. Alliance Nepal invites application from qualified Nepali nationals for the positions below:

Position: Employment and Enterprise Coordinator (EEC) - 4 positions

Duty Station: SABAL Project Office in Kathmandu, Sindhuli, Udayapur and  Khotang district

Major Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Senior Advisor for Employment and Enterprise (STAEE) and good coordination with all other thematic group members in SABAL Project Office in each district.

  • Be responsible to carry out Rapid Market Assessment and skills gaps for employment and Rapid Appraisal for enterprise development.

  • Be responsible to assess and identify, select and deploy possible service providers (institute and/or individuals). It means sole responsibility for planning, organizing, supervising, controlling and periodical reporting in respective district.

  • Monitor activities and conduct income and employment verifications.

  • Establish linkages with appropriate organizations for financial support to the graduates for self-employment and to inter/intra agency coordination for all SABAL-related matters.

Qualification:

  • Master's degree in social science, management, development studies or related discipline.

  • Six years of experience in mid-level management position of any socio-economic or livelihood projects involving multi-partners.

  • At least five years of experience in vocational training and enterprise development and supporting community based organizations and income generation for rural poor.

  • Fluent in English and Nepali and good knowledge of computer, office equipment and tools.

  • Proven qualities for integrity, accountability and result-based management.

NOTE: Job descriptions will be detailed out in the contract. All successful candidates will be hired for output-oriented annual contract as per the Personnel as well as Operational System of Alliance Nepal.
