The foundation operates Pradiya International School (UKG–Grade 6), providing 100% scholarship-supported education to children from marginalized and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Position Summary

The Education Program Director will provide strategic leadership, academic oversight, and operational management for all education programs, including Pradiya International School. The role ensures high-quality implementation, monitoring, and reporting while maintaining compliance with government, donor, and organizational standards.

This is a field-based leadership role requiring active presence at the project site and collaboration with education teams, communities, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and annual plans for all education programs

  • Ensure alignment with national education policies, curriculum standards, and child protection regulations

  • Promote inclusive, gender-responsive, and child-centered learning approaches

School Management & Academic Oversight

  • Provide strategic oversight of Pradiya International School (UKG–Grade 6)

  • Support school leadership in academic planning, teacher supervision, and learning improvement

  • Ensure safe, protective, and nurturing learning environments

Program Design, Grants & Partnerships

  • Lead proposal writing, concept notes, and resource mobilization for education initiatives

  • Strengthen collaboration with local governments, education offices, and community stakeholders

  • Represent PRADIYA FOUNDATION in education coordination forums and donor meetings

Monitoring, Evaluation & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee student progress, attendance, and learning outcomes

  • Use data-driven insights for continuous improvement

  • Prepare high-quality reports for donors, the Executive Board, and stakeholders

Safeguarding, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure implementation of child protection and safeguarding policies

  • Maintain compliance with SWC, local government, and donor requirements

  • Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical practices

Team Leadership & Capacity Building

  • Lead, mentor, and support education and program staff

  • Build staff capacity through supervision, coaching, and performance management

  • Foster a positive, mission-driven organizational culture

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Management, or related field (higher qualifications preferred)

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in NGO/INGO/GOVT/related sectors, with at least 3 years in senior education or program leadership

  • Proven experience managing school-based or scholarship-supported education programs

  • Strong understanding of child protection systems, safeguarding, and CRC

  • Experience in donor reporting, budgeting, and compliance

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Nepali and English (spoken and written)

  • Computer literacy in MS Office
