Learning Champion Despite Pandemic- Strong Girls II Project (2022-2026) aims to ensure that all children, regardless of caste or gender, have access to quality education. We will work cross-sector to promote the girls friendly and inclusive quality education in schools, develop livelihoods for the families in need, empower the girls from Dalit and marginalized communities through the Dignity Center. This project is implemented in partnership with Association for Dalit Women's Advancement of Nepal (ADWAN), Green Tara Nepal (GTN) and Rural Education and Environment Development Center (REED). Technical and financial support for this project is available from Karuna Deutschland e.g., Karuna Trust and BMZ.  The REED Nepal is committed to child safeguarding and the prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation. We are looking for experienced and highly qualified Nepali candidates for the following positions. Candidates with proven skills of meeting the requirements and dedicated themselves to working in NGO are encouraged to apply for this position:

1. Position: Education Development Officer

Required number: 1

Duty station: Kanchan Rural Municipality of Rupandehi

Required Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Master's Degree in Education having English subject, or relevant field 
  • At least Five (5) years of working experience in relevant field (teacher training and  girls' education Programme ) 
  • Good knowledge and understanding of education issues related to gender equality in education, including teaching methodologies, non-formal education and community involvement in schools
  • Deep understanding in the challenges of adolescent girls, life skills for decision making and community mobilization
  • Excellent training delivery skills to teachers 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, including exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office package and internet
  • Experience with project delivery, data collection, data analysis, case story, monitoring including writing both qualitative and quantitative reports. 
  • Clear understanding of contemporary development and educational issues
  • Ability to travel to rural areas including overnights during training
  • Proven track record of achieving results.

2. Position: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer (Female Only)

Required number: 1

Duty station: Project Office Butwal, Rupandehi with frequent field visit

Required Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Science, Education, Management or relevant field  
  • At least Three (3 to 4) years of working experience in MEAL or relevant field 
  • Familiar with the research ethics, research proposal development, coordination for field work, survey tool development
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, including exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office package and internet
  • Experience with data collection, data analysis, data presentation, case story, monitoring including writing both qualitative and quantitative reports. 
  • Ability to travel to rural areas including overnights during field visit
  • Experience with partnerships approach in programme implementation, strong communication skills
