Consultancy Service for: ECED Teachers Training on Learning Roots.

World Vision International Nepal (WVI) in collaboration with Krishnapur Municipality is implementing Inlucsive and Quality Education programme (Education TP) in Krishnapur Municipality of Kanchanpur district. Education TP is aligned with the government’s priority i.e National Early Grade Reading School Safety, Inclusive Education and ECED Programme. The Programme aims to improve children’s learning with strengthened teaching, learning and, parental engagement WVI has adapted Unlock Literacy Programme which has covered the Reading Assessment, Teacher Training and Community Action and are similar to EGRP. WVI has adopted all the core activitities of EGRP and have made commitment to apply those standards and package in its programme areas. In FY 2020, WVI has supported different schools with EGRP work books for the students of grade 1-3 and other resources. It has been identified that it is essential to train the teachers and project staff on EGRP to effectively implement the interventions. 

WVI intends to strengthen the capacity of ECED teacehrs of targeted schools on learning roots concept, learning corners, produce age appropriate learning materials, child development aspects and government’s minimum standard. Teachers will be equipped with necessary skills and methodology to transfer skill in facilitation at ECED classrooms. Hence, WVI is looking for external consultants having expertise in delivering Training to ECED teachers on ECED basic facilitation training.

The training on "ECED Teachers Training on Learning roots" is expected to deliver the following component:

• To enable the participants to understand the learning roots concept, importance of learning corners and government’s minimum standard. 
• To strengthen the capacity of ECED teachers to produce age appropriate learning materials and child development aspects. 
• To make them capable to facilitate on child appropriate manner and use of age appropriate learning materials
