Location: Nepal
Travel: Please note, this role frequent travel to programme and project areas around Nepal, plus travel to the UK annually.

About the Team:
Voices from the Field is WaterAid’s unique global communications team of creative storytellers. They work closely with communities to empower them to tell their own stories with dignity, driven by a commitment to ethical and authentic representation.
By spending time with communities, often witnessing the change brought on by access to water, sanitation and hygiene over a period of years, the Voices from the Field team have unique insight into the transformative impact of WaterAid’s work and into the lives of those whose stories they are representing. The team bring their own local cultural context, creativity and technical expertise into each project, using these skills to uncover new and different ways to bring these stories to life.
About the Role:
As our dynamic and innovative Communications Lead – Voices from the Field, Nepal, you will use your storytelling expertise to connect with local communities and global audiences.
In this role, you will collect and share powerful stories about WaterAid’s fieldwork, illustrating in film, photography, audio and interviews how people’s lives are changing through the provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene, and the problems they face without these services.
You’ll also:
- Collaborate with global colleagues on the development of innovative creative briefs which meet key communications, advocacy and fundraising goals
- Travel to communities and other project sites regularly, forming relationships wherever you go
- Represent WaterAid in front of our audiences and bring our work to life for them
- Help us deliver our ambitious new strategy to help bring an end to the water, sanitation and hygiene crisis, forever.
