FAITH is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocate for the health rights of female sex workers, women living with HIV and Female who use drugs. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist/Psycho-Social Counselor to join our team and contribute to our mission of promoting mental well-being of female sex workers.


Responsibilities:

1.     Train field staffs (individuals from the beneficiary community) to conduct community based psychosocial counseling.

2.     Mentoring of the community based psychosocial counsellors to enhance their skills. Assist them to;

2.1. Develop and implement effective individual treatment plans for clients in need in coordination with available mental health services sites. Regularly review and update treatment plans based on clients' evolving needs and progress.

2.2.Support clients in managing and coping with stress, trauma, grief, and other mental health challenges.

2.3.Establish of Self-Help Support Groups to encourage individuals to take an active role in their own recovery process.

3.     Provide ongoing support, guidance, and feedback to the community based psychosocial counsellors to facilitate clients’ personal growth and development through supportive monitoring and supervision.

4.     Monitor and evaluate the progress of clients throughout the process, using standardized assessment tools and outcome measures.

5.     Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

6.     Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain professional boundaries at all times.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Post graduate in Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
  2. Valid license or certification as a Clinical Psychologist/Psycho-Social Counselor.
  3. Proven experience of at least three years in mental health project management in NGOs.
  4. Proven experience in providing individual and group therapy/counseling services.
  5. In-depth knowledge of validated psychological assessment tools and therapeutic interventions.
  6. Familiarity with sex workers will be an added advantage and culturally sensitive counseling practices.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  9. Proficiency in using computer software and electronic health records systems.
