CALL FOR GENERAL ASSEMBLY (FEW MEMBERS)

APEIRON is a women led Nepali NGO working for a gender equal society through four main areas of interventions; Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response, Awareness and Education, Income Generation and Institutional Collaboration.

APEIRON fights against prejudice, violence, and inequalities so that women develop skills necessary to support themselves and their families. APEIRON helps women confront uphill battles: gender based violence, restricted access to and control over resources, low literacy, struggles to obtain citizenship documents, and other social and economic challenges. 

The 2020 call for new General members to join the APEIRON is now open. An application are currently being sought from young, independent scholars who combine the highest level of excellence in the Gender Related Issues and is strategic thinker with a demonstrated passion for delivering impact.

Role of General members.

The selected General members are expected to work and support the theory of change, vision and mission of APEIRON. 

Each APEIRON General member is expected to attend the APEIRON Annual General Meeting each year and is also expected to actively contribute to one or more of the organization’s programmes, which include participation in policy development, promotion of beneficiaries, working as per the TOC of APEIRON. 

APEIRON is an active organization, and being a member requires a time commitment on each member’s part. In the event that applicants are selected as new general members, they should be available to attend the next Annual General Meeting.

APEIRON is an organization that places a high value on its diversity. APEIRON encourages applications from all qualified candidates. All applicants receive consideration and will not be discriminated against with regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, creed, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, physical disabilities, or other factors. Applicants who have expertise on Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response, Awareness and Education, Income Generation and Institutional Collaboration are highly welcomed for applying.

Applications from women, minority groups, researchers in the social sciences, arts and humanities, and scholars working in government, industry, and non-governmental sectors are particularly emphasized.

This is voluntary service. Members selected are needed to pay nominal amount for membership.
