Call for expression of interest (EOI) to 

Support to finalise a learning paper on interventions to prevent and response GBV and gender equality programming in Nepal

International Alert invites expression of interest from interested and qualified individual to draft a learning paper on interventions to prevent and response GBV and gender equality programme in Nepal. The interested individual should have following qualifications and experiences:

• The research consultant should have a minimum of ten years of experience in conducting research and assessments, with practical knowledge and expertise on gender empowerment, social inclusion, social and gender norms, GBV and conflict sensitivity. 
• The consultant should have a proven track record of work experience with the GoN, CSOs, UN agencies and/or EDPs. 
• The consultant should have extensive experience in collecting quantitative and qualitative evidence from a broad range of stakeholders and experience in practicing participatory methods of conducting research and assessments.
• Considerable professional experience of working at sub-national and national level, with a clear understanding of the socio-economic and political environment of the provinces and the federalism.
• Proven ability to work with diverse populations in a respectful, non-judgmental and ethically sound manner.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent networking skills, and ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environments.
• A high level of competency in the English language, particular in writing and fluent in Nepali and/or other local languages and be able to draft in high quality English in quick time.
