Call for Expression of Interest (EOI) 

Mercy Corps is implementing Flood Resilience Measurement of Communities (FRMC)  in collaboration with the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance. The alliance is a multi-sectoral partnership focusing on finding practical ways to help communities strengthen their resilience to flood risk. The Flood Resilience Measurement for Communities (FRMC) is an approach that seeks to improve the capacity of communities; to prepare, respond, and recover from floods and climate-related hazards on people and businesses.

Mercy Corps will facilitate communities to implement Flood Resilience Measurement for Communities (FRMC) which allows them to generate evidence on the strengths and weaknesses of flood resilience for target communities. The collection of FRMC data will enable robust interventions to strengthen community resilience by utilizing existing relationships and networks with communities and local governments.

This program will be implemented in 14 communities in four local governments in two districts (Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura). This program will closely align with Mercy Corps’ Managing Risks for Economic Development (MRED) program. The program will be implemented for 2 years till 31st December 2022. 

Mercy Corps is seeking local implementing organizations that have both a) existing presence and established operations and b) existing approval from the relevant district level government authorities to operate in the two program districts. 

Mercy Corps invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from all interested and qualified NGOs/CBOs for the partnership to implement community-level activities under the ZFRA/FRMC for Dadeldhura and Kanchanpur districts.  

Interested NGOs/CBOs are requested to submit an EOI as per the EOI detailed guidance available at https://nepal.mercycorps.org/procurement/ by COB February 20, 2021 to the email address: np-eoi-zurich@mercycorps.org or hard copies of the EOI can be submitted to Mercy Corps office at Sanepa, Lalitpur and Hasanpur-5,Dhangadi SMC, Kailali
