Heifer Project Nepal (HPN) is a non-profit organization working in Nepal since 1998 with the aim of ending hunger and poverty and caring for the earth through agriculture-based livelihood and social capital development programs, primarily in meat goat sector in the last 10 years Heifer focused in improving the production and productivity of meat goat in Nepal by supporting 250,000 smallholder goat farmers families through 227 cooperatives across the country. Building on the achievements of the last decade Heifer is now working to ensure that the smallholder farmers have equitable share of profit from the end market while improving the value chain of live goat. One of such initiatives is the Blockchain project through which HPNwill make our farmers’ meat goats traceable. HPN believes that just like for other products such as coffee there is a niche consumer that is willing to pay more price (premium price) for traceable goat. Through the consumer behavior survey, HPN want to test this belief. Further, HPNalso wants to know what the niche consumer wants in good quality goat meat (premium meat) and what is the premium price they are willing to pay.   

HPN hereby invites applications to conduct Premium Goat Meat Consumer Survey. The study shall be conducted in Kathmandu and other major cities as appropriate. It will be used to make informed decision on promoting premium goat meat in Nepali market. Applicant companies/firms should have prior experience on market and consumer survey, data analysis and interpretation.

The interested Companies/Firms are requested to submit their letter of interest within 7 days from date of publication of this notice to procurement-np@heifer.org. Application documents must include details of past experience on market and consumer study, Company Profile, Letter of Incorporation, VAT certificates and tax clearance certificates for fiscal year 2075/76.

Financial and detailed technical proposals will be requested from shortlisted companies/firms after initial screening of applications.

Heifer Project Nepal reserves all right to qualify or disqualify any or all of applications and will not be obliged to give any reasons in either case.
