Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in October 1995 with its Head Office in Pokhara and Programme Coordination Office in Lalitpur. LI-BIRD is committed to capitalizing on local resources, innovations and institutions for the sustainable management of natural resources and building resilience to climate change for improving the livelihoods of target beneficiaries, which includes smallholder farmers, particularly women in Nepal.

LI-BIRD is implementing a project entitled “Upscaling Pollination to Enhance Biodiversity and Human Welfare in Nepal” (Nepal Pollination Project). This four-year initiative, funded by the Darwin Initiative, is being implemented in Karnali, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, in partnership with the University of Bristol, HERD International, the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Tribhuvan University (TU), and LI-BIRD. The project aims to improve the conservation and management of pollinators across the Himalayas, ultimately contributing to healthier communities, stronger economies, and more resilient ecosystems. It seeks to drive a national level shift in pollinator awareness, management, research, and conservation policy, leading to enhanced pollinator biodiversity, increased crop yields, and improved livelihoods.

LI-BIRD invites all the eligible vendors to submit the sealed technical and bid documents for the supply of following quantities of office equipment:

The deadline for submission of proposals is 19 January 2026 (Monday) at 5:00 PM. Please note that the LI-BIRD Office have official holidays on Saturdays and Sundays. Interested applicants may submit any queries related to the Bid Document via email to procurement@libird.org Queries received over the weekend will be addressed during regular working days. All bids must be prepared and submitted in the English language. Bids received after the deadline shall not be accepted or considered for further evaluation.

Bids that do not meet the requirements will be discarded. Bids that meet the requirements and offer the best value for money will be considered for the further evaluation process. LI-BIRD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the bids without assigning any reason whatsoever. All the costs associated with preparing and submitting the letter of interest and bids shall be borne solely by the companies.
