Associate People Officer – 1
Major Roles and Responsibility:
The Associate People Officer serves for the Heifer International Nepal Program, in alignment with Heifer International’s objectives, policies, and procedures, supports the smooth and efficient functioning of HR operations. The role involves collaborating with other teams to ensure consistency across HR processes and assisting with day-to-day human resource activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, record management, and compliance. The Associate People Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate HR documentation, ensuring adherence to labor laws and organizational standards, and delivering high-quality HR services to employees across Heifer Nepal to promote an effective, compliant, and supportive workplace environment
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university in Business Administration, Economics, Business Studies, Human Resource, or related field is required, plus at least two (2) years’ experience in a similar context is required
- Basic Knowledge of Labor Laws and HR best practices.
- Knowledge and experience working with INGO
- Competence in handling sensitive information and ensuring its confidentiality
- Experience in a fast-paced or multinational environment
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office package, internet browsing, and other relevant technologies.
- Willingness to work with a flexible schedule
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated sensitivity in interactions with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs systems, as well as a commitment to promoting a culture of belongingness
