Assistant Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the technical teams, ensuring effective communication and task allocation.

• Conduct daily operational updates and submit reports to the Technical Manager.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents and ensure preventive measures are implemented.

• Oversee and troubleshoot OLT, access switching, and aggregation switching.

• Manage and optimize MPLS, BGP, and OSPF configurations and operations.

• Monitor network performance, respond to alerts, and ensure quick resolution of issues.

• Mentor and train technical staff to improve skill sets and efficiency.

• Coordinate planned maintenance, upgrades, and network improvement projects.

• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and escalation procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of ISP/telecom experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior technical role.

• Strong hands-on experience with OLT management, switching technologies, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF.

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities.

• Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, if required.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Mikrotik, Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei equipment.

• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, PPPoE, and network security practices.

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Smokeping, and The Dude.
