DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

Terms of Reference (TOR)

Position: Assistant teacher trainer

Financial Remuneration: Normal standard 

Working Days: 4 days a week (based on program schedule)

Contract: One year

Location: Kathmandu and Dailekh/Dullu municipality (At least 3 months in field during the year)

Reporting to: Program manager

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Understand educational components, programs and issues
• Develop training plans and content
• Able to deliver training sessions for community school teachers
• Work with foreigner and assist in training and other activities
• Prepare event base reports
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the executive line supervisor.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or pedagogical training if any other stream.

Professional Experience:

• Better to having experience of working with community schools, children, teacher training and rural Nepal.

Core Competencies:

• Excellent in English both written and spoken and obviously Nepali
• Excellent ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize and implement multiple tasks within strict deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
• Ability to work well within a team as well as independently.
• Understanding of the Nepali and international education sector
• Proactive and initiator 
• Strong interpersonal capacity with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor.
• Ability and willingness for field travel.
