Organizational Background

Conflict Victim Women National Network (CVWN) is a non-government and nonprofit making organization officially registered at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu in 2020. The organization is committed to advancing transitional justice, sustainable peace, and empowering women for self-reliant and economic development according to the constitution, national policies, and international commitment. The organization was formed to provide a concrete framework for the movement and advocacy work that was done by the board members of this organization while working as a loose network. The organization is now working to develop various programs for conflict-affected women by employing intergenerational policy and is committed to the truth, justice, and reparation issues of those women. CVWN aids transitional justice through leadership and women empowerment by including conflict-affected women within its network. We have expertise and experience in transitional justice, victim rights, WPS NAP, rights of wives and families of disappeared persons, and survivors of rape and sexual violence.

Below are the Terms of Reference for this  position:

Academic Qualification /Experience and Other Specifications:

  • Master's Degree in accounting/finance or business administration.
  • At least 2-3 years experience in admin finance-related work.
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written.
  • Able to formulate a project-oriented budget.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Well-versed in general accounting and taxation principles.
  • Effective team player and can thrive under pressure.
  • Good computer skills, ms-word, ms-excel, skill in accounting software.

Job Description:

  • Be responsible for financial management including budget planning, implementation of organizational policies and procedures, and day-to-day financial transactions of the program, preparing financial reports, and submitting reports to concerned authorities and agencies.
  • Conduct administrative duties and responsibilities such as work related to general administration, assets management, coordination, procurement function, inventory management, etc.
  • Provide technical skills and knowledge to carry out financial activities coach community-based groups and ensure the required documents are maintained in the community-level financial transactions.
  • Be responsible for coordinating district admin/finance person and providing financial support to them, also being responsible for releasing the funds in time to district partners, followed by budget monitoring on a timely basis.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with the vendors, bank, and other related stakeholders for smooth handling of the project finance function.
  • Coordinate/provide logistical and coordination support to relevant meetings, workshops, training, and events.
  • Support all kinds of filing and documentation systems of the organization and also be responsible for the supervision of the support staff for financial aspects.
  • Represent CVWN in a wide range of public functions (meetings, conferences, etc.)
  • Responsible for all bank and cash transactions, ensuring all the payments are authorized and evidenced.
  • Be responsible for payment of tax on time.
