Job Description:
- Prior consulting experience in an audit or accounting firm.
- Accurate recording of daily financial transactions in line with IFRS, from initial entries to final reporting.
- Recording of all closing entries at month end, including bank reconciliations, fixed asset, prepaid, accruals & payroll schedules.
- Ensuring completeness and accuracy of journal entries with appropriate supporting documents.
- Assessing internal controls, performing risk assessments, and reviewing key risk areas.
- Supporting the auditors with relevant information required to complete the audit.
- Working in a computerized environment with proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Experience in VAT return preparation and filing, as well as corporate tax compliance.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- ACCA / semi-qualified CA / MBS
- 4 to 5 years of experience in accounting including financial reporting
- Knowledge of Accounting systems such as Xero, Quick Books, Zoho etc. & ability to work independently.
- Experience in IFRS reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Solid analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Must be available to join immediately.
