Account Officer

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The  Account Officer will oversee all financial and accounting operations of the retail company, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This role is key to ensuring financial discipline, supporting strategic planning, and maintaining accurate financial records across all branches/outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and inventory accounting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting.
• Supervise preparation and review of budgets and financial planning

2. Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• File timely VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory returns.

3. Reporting & Analysis

• Provide financial reports to management for strategic decisions.
• Analyze financial data and offer cost control recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (bachelor in commerce /Management).
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting, 
• Good  understanding of tax laws, retail accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software (Tally or OMS systems).
