Japan-Nepal Health and Tuberculosis Research Association (JANTRA) is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental and independent organization, which aims to improve the quality of life of people in Nepal. JANTRA's main objective is to contribute to the community health development and practice for the benefit of poor and marginalized groups in Nepal. JANTRA, as one of the sub-recipients of National Tuberculosis Programme (NTP), is going to implement activities of National Strategic Application (NSA) in Western Development Region. JANTRA is looking for dynamic, energetic and qualified professionals for the following positions in the GFATM-NSA Phase II TB project:

Position: Programme Officer (few)

 Position/Main Responsibilities:

·         Programme Officer is a responsible position of the organization with a leading role, primarily responsible for overseeing the NSA phase II activities.

·         Ensure the activities specified are implemented effectively within given timeframe to achieve the targets.

·         Carry out and lead project planning, implementation, recording, reporting and documentation of findings, lessons learned in line with expected project requirement and M&E system.

·         Liaise with authorities of MoHP and its line agencies at National, Regional, District and Service Delivery Level during the design and implementation of the project.

Required qualification and competencies:

·         Master's degree in Public Health or

·         Bachelor in any discipline with health background.

·         Minimum 3 years of practical experience in TB programme planning, implementation and monitoring in Nepal.

·         An in-depth understanding and knowledge with demonstrated experience of NTP policies, strategies, guidelines and implementation modalities.

·         Practical experiences in designing and implementing health interventions targeted to the unreached population in urban and rural areas.

·         Ability to work independently, providing leadership to the team and assist in building skills.

·         Excellent communication skills in English/Nepali, both verbal and written with excellent computer skills

Successful candidate will be given an annual renewable contract. Remuneration will be competitive and in line with JANTRA's Human Resource Management policy.
