VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

PHD GROUP Nepal, a national sexual and reproductive health organization, seeks applications from qualified Nepali citizens for the following full time positions.

FINANCE OFFICER:

Major Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, the Finance Officer will be responsible for handling account and finance work of SAAF, PHD Group project. S/he will be responsible for record keeping, managing, maintaining proper storage of files, folders and documents, monitoring project expenditure and revenue, ensuring they are in line with the budget, and keeping a record of invoices, receipts and payments in line with the budget, and are charged to the proper accounting period and properly classified as to category of revenue/expenses. S/he shall maintain the manual and computerized financial system and carry out regular financial data entry. S/he shall be responsible for all aspects of updating/ reconciliation of Bank accounts, including banking monies and arranging payments (Cheques, etc.). In addition, s/he shall be handling petty cash, dealing with financial paperwork and filing, dealing with finance related enquires from the concerned sections and SAAF. S/he shall also be supporting the Team Leader in the preparation of quarterly and six monthly financial reports and fund requests. S/he shall maintain proper month-end procedures for accounts and audit purposes and prepare the necessary documentation for the annual audit

Qualifications:

A Master Degree in Business Administration or Commerce with specialisation in Financial Management, Accounting with at least 2 years’ experience in the field of accounting and finance with knowledge of Government rules and regulations regarding Non –profit/ social sector and knowledge on auditing, accounting and financial systems and processes.S/he should possess sound financial report writing skill, good knowledge of computerized systems- MS office (Word Processing, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, accounting system), internet and email and should befluent in Nepali and English in both written and spoken.
