DBA & Associate System Administrator

1. Database Adminstrator (DAY SHIFT - 1)

Requirements:

• Should have at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in Database Administration and managing multiple MS SQL 2008 & 2012 RDBMS on large systems.
• Experience in resolving various issues related to database integrity, performance, blocking and deadlocking, replication, log shipping, connectivity, security etc.
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization.
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
• Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication, Partitioning.
• Strong knowledge of index management, integrity checks, statistics, configuration.
• Knowledge of SQL Server tools (Profiler, SSMS, PerfMon, DMVs, and system sprocs).
• SQL Development – ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design.
• Documentation skills for processes and procedures.

2. Associate System Administrator (DAY SHIFT - 1)

Job Description:

• Monitor all Windows servers for performance issues and stability concerns.
• Regular application installations, configurations, and day-to-day administration.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise.
• Work with SQL Server and IIS7 on a daily basis to support customers and ensure maximum uptime.
• Staying familiar with new versions of applications used on servers.
• Backup and Restoration as a part of daily activity.
• Document issues and associated resolutions to problems.
• Prepare various reports on IIS uptime, database usage and disk usage regularly.
• Prepare release patches for company products and release them into different staging servers.

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
• At least one year of experience of Microsoft Server administration.
• Dependable to be at work during assigned shifts and to complete work as expected.
• Experience with documenting procedures.
• Be willing to work with and learn Server 2008 and other technologies as they are released.
