Pioneer Solutions, is a US/Europe based Software Company that specializes in providing customized risk management solutions to corporate clients worldwide, and is currently seeking energetic and ambitious people to join its team in its Kathmandu office. We currently have a few openings for the following positions:

ASSOCIATE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (DAY SHIFT - 1, NIGHT SHIFT - 1)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required data (code repository, database, and configurations) are successfully backed up to the appropriate media and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
  • Install new/rebuild existing servers/workstations and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, in-house applications etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Install company's own software products including setting its various components in different servers and workstations.
  • Manage company's own software internal and external releases by generating, applying and documenting patches.
  • Provide timely support for clients and staffs to ensure business continuity. 
  • Train and enforce system policies to end users.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in relevant field.
  • Programming knowledge in database (mainly on MS SQL Server) and web (preferably PHP).
  • Knowledge on switching, routing, NAT, VMware platform, active directory, file server will be plus.
  • Experience with PC hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Patient and ability to handle multiple tasks calmly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Able to work during 8PM - 5AM for the night shift.
