JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc is seeking applications for the following position for the Chlorexidine Navi Care Program (CNCP), a three year project from October 2014 to September 2017. Chlorhexidine Navi Care Program is supporting the Government of Nepal's (GoN) intention to reduce neonatal mortality. CNCP is supporting to implement Chlorhexidine (CHX) cord care program in the different districts of Nepal. JSI/CNCP has announced vacancy for the post of Senior Program Officer, a full-time position (1.0 of FTE) based in Kathmandu, Nepal with frequent field visits in the program districts. S/he will ensure proper implementation of CNCP, coordinate with partners including government agencies, write project proposals, reports, documentation of project achievements and lessons learned, and work as a senior management team.

 

Job responsibilities:

 

Ø  Work closely with Department of Health Services, Regional Health Directorate, District Health Offices and implementing partners

Ø  Updated on current issues and best practices to contribute documentation of lessons learned in areas of maternal, newborn and child health

Ø  Assist in preparing required reports (monthly and annual), success stories, case studies and document beneficiary voices

Ø  Identify and prepare effect and impact level case studies, thematic and anecdotes that contributes in strategic direction

Ø  Review reports and ensure reports meets donor formats

Ø  Coordination with USAID, government and other stakeholders to manage international visitors

Ø  Monitor field based staffs to ensure proper implementation of the program

 

Qualifications/Experiences:

 

Ø  Master in public health with 5 years experience in maternal, newborn and child health program

Ø  Expertise in proposal writing, documentation, publication and dissemination of maternal and child health issues

Ø  Familiarity with key MNCH program interventions and related strategies

Ø  Good report and proposal writing skills

Ø  Excellent written and spoken English
