Finance Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • To supervise daily Finance operations
  • To Ensure the accuracy of all revenue generated by the hotel was received and properly recorded and that they are properly entered our Accounting system on a timely manner
  • To verify the daily revenue report generated by the Income Auditor and daily cash report generated by the General Cashier
  • To verify the credit card charges, charge vouchers and city ledger charges with regard to the adequacy of approval procedure, legibility of signatures and addresses
  • To verify the correctness of posting the following reports to the general ledger such as the daily night auditors “D” report, the daily food and beverage revenue report and the daily general cashier report
  • To verify bank deposit receipts with the daily general cashier report
  • To verify the miscellaneous voucher and rebate voucher
  • To supervise on surprise count of all house funds
  • To supervise all General Cashier and Income Audit Transactions, Balance cash clearance account
  • To assist the Director of Finance to prepare Yearly Business Plan
  • To ensure all the revenues are entered correctly and balanced to the Front Office System
  • Work closely with Accounting Manager
  • Identify and develop leadership qualities among staff under supervision.
  • Plan and conduct department training.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Master’s degree in accounting/finance, however Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject and with extensive experience can also be considered. 
  • Two or more years of experience on relevant position. 
  • Ability to work in a multicultural diverse environment and under pressure; 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive and tactful manner. Adhere to strict confidentiality involving, staffing concerns and internal/external correspondence. 
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English and Nepali 
  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) 
  • Ability to plan, manage and follow through on assignments and communicate at all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with minimal supervision
