Assistant Librarian

Assistant Librarian:
JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:
- Check library materials in and out;
- Shelving the books(to put books in appropriate place)
- Help users/ readers to find books and anwer questions;
- Keepcirculation (books issued)records;
- Register new library patrons (all activities such as newspaper, store record etc);
- Collect and record fines;
- Answer phone;
- Repair library materials (books);
- Put reserves on books that have been requested;
- Assist in processing new books;
- Open and close the library as needed;
- Promote library activities(i.e.Readingetc.);
- Good knowledge in computer handling.
- Basic knowledge of classification.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Photocopies of important learning materials
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Preference would be given to candidates with training/experience in library management.
