WASH- Sub Engineer/Public Health Officer

Multi-Dimensional Action for Development (MADE), Nepal in partnership with Action Contre la Faim | Action Against Hunger (ACF) is going to implement Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Project in Pratappur Rural Municipality, Nawalparasi district, Province no 5, hence is seeking for qualified Nepali citizens for the following positions:

1.  WASH- Sub Engineer – 1(100% field)

• Qualifications and required skills:
  • Minimum Diploma in civil engineering or equivalent with at least 2 years of work experience in MUS (Multiple Users Water Services) or WASH in development organizations preferably in NGOs or INGOs
  • Knowledge and experience of technical survey, design, estimate and implementation of MUS and WASH facilities with good understanding of MIT (Micro-Irrigation Technologies like drip, sprinkler,  low cost water storage tanksetc.)
  • Knowledge on installation of shallow community  tube well and  water supply system in Teraicommunity
  • Ensure the quality of construction work in coordination with Water and Sanitation Users Committee and Rural Municipality
  • Good Computer (Microsoft package) and reporting skill 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines 

2.  Public Health Officer = 1 (100% field)

• Qualifications and required skills:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Public Health or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience in public health programme along with maternal and child health or WASH in development organizations preferably in NGOs or INGOs.,
  • Knowledge and experience of public health sector in awareness raising, campaigns, training, advocacy, coordination and Behaviour Change Communication
  • Ensure the quality of public health awareness, Behaviour Change Communication in coordination with health facilities, Water and Sanitation Users Committee and Rural Municipality
  • Good Computer (Microsoft package) and reporting skill 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

3.  Other competencies for both

• Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid license of two wheeler
• Computer literate with WORD, EXCEL, POWER POINT, Internet etc
• Organizing and facilitation skill for  meeting, trainings and report writing
• Having good practical knowledge of good governance, social inclusion and social mobilization
• Willingness to work in remote area and good team player
• Understanding and communication skill of local language
