WASH- Sub Engineer /Public Health Officer/

Himalayan Community Development Forum (HICODEF) in partnership with Action Contre La Faim l Action Against Hunger (ACF)) is going to implement Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Project in Baudikali RMP of Nawalparasi East district is seeking qualified Nepali citizens for the following positions:

1. WASH- Sub Engineer – 1 (100% field)

• Qualifications and required skills:
  • Minimum Diploma in civil engineering or equivalent with at least 2 years of work experience in MUS(Multiple Users Water Services) or WASH in development organizations preferably in NGOs or INGOs.
  • Knowledge and experience of technical survey, design, estimation and implementation of MUS and WASH facilities with good understanding of MIT(Micro-Irrigation Technologies like drip, sprinkler, low cost water storage tanks etc);
  • Ensure the quality of construction work in coordination with Water and Sanitation Users Committee and Gaupalika
  • Good Computer (Microsoft package) and reporting skill 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines 

2. Public Health Officer = 1 (100% field)

• Qualifications and required skills:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Public Health or equivalent with at least 2 years experience in public health programme along with  maternal and child health or WASH in development organizations preferably in NGOs or INGOs.,
  • Knowledge and experience of public health sector in awareness raising, campaigns, training, advocacy, coordination and Behaviour Change Communication.
  • Ensure the quality of public health awareness, Behaviour Change Communication in coordination with health facilities, Water and Sanitation Users Committee and Gaupalika
  • Good Computer (Microsoft package) and reporting skill 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

3. Other competencies for both

• Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid license of two wheeler
• Computer literate with WORD, EXCEL, POWER POINT, Internet etc
• Organizing and facilitation skill for  meeting, trainings and Report writing
• Having good practical knowledge of good governance, social inclusion and social mobilization
• Willingness to work in remote area and good team player
