Role Overview

As a Field Application Engineer – Computer Vision, you will be at the forefront of on-site solution deployment and customer interaction. Your primary responsibility will be to assess client requirements, oversee installation and calibration of machine vision systems, and ensure successful integration with manufacturing lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments at client manufacturing facilities to understand operational and environmental challenges.
• Design and plan vision system layouts using appropriate camera types and configurations.
• Recommend optimal hardware (camera type/brand/lens) based on use-case and lighting.
• Supervise or lead on-site installations, system testing, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with internal software and hardware teams for seamless system integration.
• Train client staff in operating and maintaining deployed systems.
• Provide post-installation technical support and troubleshooting as required.
• Document deployment activities and maintain customer interaction logs.
• Stay updated on the latest in industrial camera systems and AI-based inspection technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in deploying vision or automation systems in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of industrial cameras (e.g., Basler, Hikvision, IDS, Cognex, etc.) and optics.
• Familiarity with protocols such as GigE, USB 3.0, PoE, or SDKs like MVS, OpenCV.
• Good grasp of factory environments and challenges (dust, lighting, space constraints).
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability; self-driven and adaptable.
• Willing to travel frequently to different industrial locations across Nepal.
