International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) is a Non-Government Organization established in 1952 and serves the poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal to enable life to its fullness through health and development services. INF Nepal is currently working in health and community development services in the Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces of Nepal.
For the following positions, INF Nepal, Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre, Pokhara is seeking competent, skilled, service-oriented, and devoted Nepali citizens who share our vision, missions, and values.
1. Position: Consultant Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician
Required Number: 1
Location: Green Pastures Hospital, Pokhara
Purpose of the Job:
Required to provide & develop GPH Medical/Health services in line with international best practices. The job holder is required to support GPH’s overall services, capacity building, medical research, and other needs as identified.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Must have MD in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, registered at Nepal Medical Council with a minimum of one year of post-qualification clinical experience.
- Experience in project development, strategy development, and in teaching, research, and community health is an advantage.
- Training related to physical medicine and rehabilitation is an advantage.
- Good people skills and good communication skills.
- Good English Language skills (Written and spoken) and good numeracy skills, good computer skills in Word and Excel.
- Must have a genuine interest in helping people.
- Able to keep all matters pertaining to work confidential.
- Proactive approach to patient care and demonstrate integrity.
- Good understanding of, and agreement with the values which are important to INF.
2. Position: Medical Officer
Required Number: 1
Location: Green Pastures Hospital, Pokhara
Purpose of the Job:
The post holder oversees all the medical work of the inpatient and outpatient units of GPH, providing technical input and support, ensuring the smooth running of the inpatient unit, and achieving an excellent standard of care for the patients in a holistic manner.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Must have an MBBS Degree, registered at Nepal Medical Council with a minimum of one year of post-qualification clinical experience however, freshers can apply.
- Experience in teaching, research, and community health is an advantage.
- Must demonstrate sensitivity and confidentiality.
- Must have leadership skills, cross-cultural skills, and interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to use manual or automated hospital equipment.
- Good clinical history-taking, examination, and making relevant differential diagnosis skills.
- Must have basic computer skills- Office Package and other software/systems related to hospitals.
- Good English Language skills both written and spoken.
- Must have proactive approach to patient care and must be honest and demonstrate integrity.
- Good understanding of, and agreement with the values which are important to INF.
3. Position: Audiologist
Required Number: 1
Location: Green Pastures Hospital, Pokhara
Purpose of the Job:
To undertake audiological clinical testing, interpretation, and reporting in the areas of hearing and vestibular assessment, vestibular rehabilitation, pediatric assessment, and tinnitus retraining therapy depending upon experience. To undertake adult auditory rehabilitation via the fitting and maintenance of hearing aids. To take an active role in research, service development, and service audit. Develop and participate in the teaching of trainees, students, and junior staff. Occasional speech and language therapy work.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s level qualification in relevant field of study. Candidates with genuine interest and waiting for results can apply.
- Minimum one year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience in hearing aid fitting and reassessment and pediatric Audiology.
- Experience in vestibular assessment, vestibular rehabilitation, and implantable hearing technology is an advantage.
- Excellent patient handling skills, good recording and reporting skills.
- Motivated to care for and serve disadvantaged persons.
- Ability to work as part of a team, can work effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Keep abreast of national and international developments in audiology by reading scientific literature and where possible attending scientific meetings.
- Understanding of, and agreement with the values which are important to INF.
