VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Good Neighbors International Nepal has been working since 2002 for improving the lives of poor people, especially children through child protection, education, income generation, health services, water, sanitation and hygiene, disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation, and advocacy programs. Currently, Good Neighbors International Nepal serves marginalized, vulnerable, and poor children, families, and communities in 20 districts across Nepal.
Under the Youth Employment Support program (Internship) introduced with a purpose of empowering young graduates with practical experience, professional skills and a strong value base, preparing them for a successful entry into the workforce, Good Neighbors International Nepal seeks potential and interested graduates from different discipline under following positions:
POSITIONS:
1. Intern-Finance (1)
Scope of Work:
The Intern-Finance shall assist the Finance team in day-to-day financial operations including documentation, data entry, filing, payment processing and supporting in basic financial reporting.
Job Description:
The key deliverables include but are not limited to:
- Organize and maintain financial documents, vouchers, invoices and other finance-related documents.
- Attach relevant supporting documents to financial vouchers ensuring the documentation is complete and properly arranged for review and record-keeping.
- Scan vouchers and the supporting documents for uploading to QuickBooks.
- File and archive the financial documents systematically.
- Support in updating the taxation dashboard for fiscal year and tax audits.
- Maintain the tax documents of the organization properly.
- Replace original District and Cluster Office settlement documents on time.
Key Competencies:
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting Management, Business Studies, Business Administration or a related field.
- Fresh Graduate or an experience of related internship completed
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial documentation and financial transactions.
- Familiarity with accounting software/ systems.
2. Intern-IT (1)
Scope of Work:
The Intern-IT shall perform a variety of moderately complex information technology support duties to ensure smooth operation of organization by providing quality technology services.
Job Description:
The key deliverables include but are not limited to:
- Support in extending quality IT services including troubleshooting, diagnosing problems and implementing corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines.
- Ensure configuration of laptops, peripherals and accounts ensuring high level of security.
- Ensure all internet and intranet policies are into effect as per the organization’s need.
- Organize and maintain IT resources.
- Design and install well-functioning computer networks, DVR & Camera, connections and cabling.
- Test and configure software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices.
- Provide technical support to co-workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions.
- Carry out regular preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and system support.
Key Competencies:
- Bachelors in IT/ B.E. in Electronics/ Computer or equivalent
- Fresher or experience of related internship completed
- Knowledge of Hardware and Networking.
- Basic knowledge on Office 365, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer peripherals, Telephone system, Data Storage Systems.
3. Intern-Monitoring and Evaluation (1)
Scope of Work:
The Intern – Monitoring and Evaluation shall support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, & Learning (MEAL) team in data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance evidence-based decision-making and learning.
Job Description:
The key deliverables include but are not limited to:
- Assist in data entry, cleaning, and analysis using software such as Excel, SPSS, or other relevant tools.
- Support the design and development of data collection tools in KOBO to conduct assessments or surveys based on the organization's needs.
- Contribute to the preparation of M&E reports, presentations, and dashboards.
- Assist in developing and updating databases to track project indicators and performance.
- Assist in the development and timely updating of the MOR from CDP, ensuring segregated data and accurate activity details.
- Assist in ensuring data quality and consistency in reporting.
Key Competencies:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with statistical software SPSS is an advantage.
- Excellent oral and written English & Nepali.
- Attention to detail and ability to take and follow instructions effectively.
- Experience in data collection and analysis is a plus.
4. Intern-Sponsorship Services and Child Protection (1)
Scope of Work:
The Intern – Sponsorship Service and Child Protection (SS&CP) shall support the smooth operation of the SS&CP team in child data management, data analysis, child protection, and reporting.
Job Description:
The key deliverables include but are not limited to:
- Sponsorship Child Data Management (60%)
- Support in software handling, checking the counseling services, and other software management.
- Support in annual sponsorship correspondence (annual child letter planning and preparation, annual progress report planning and preparation, gift money, letter management.
- Support in sponsorship graduates' mapping, local sponsorship, and other related sponsorship administration.
- Support in logistics of the workshop and follow-up actions.
- Child Protection (30%)
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data on child protection cases and interventions
- Support in preparing reports, case studies, and documentation of child protection activities.
- Support in developing IEC/BCC material on child protection, child rights, and safeguarding.
- Support in monitoring, field visits, and preparing basic reports.
- Other (10%)
- Report preparation, update disaggregated information, tracking beneficiaries
- Support in documentation of good practices, case stories, and success stories.
Key Competencies:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written English & Nepali.
- Attention to detail and ability to take and follow instructions effectively.
- Preferred experience in data collection and analysis.
- Knowledge of child rights/child protection is an advantage.
