Project Overview
The Lifesaving Nutrition for Life project is a targeted initiative designed to protect the health and well-being of vulnerable women and children in five high-burden districts of Nepal—Banke and Bardiya in Lumbini Province, and Siraha, Saptari, and Sarlahi in Madhesh Province. This project delivers a comprehensive package of essential health and nutrition services, including screening and treatment of acute malnutrition, maternal and newborn nutrition support and strengthening of the health system.
In addition to service delivery, the project focuses on capacity strengthening by equipping health workers, Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), and local health facilities with the skills and tools needed to provide quality care. By reaching children under five, pregnant women, and high-risk infants, the project aims to prevent a deepening child survival crisis, reduce malnutrition-related mortality, and build resilience among families in underserved communities. The issuance of subawards will be subject to the availability of funding. These positions are contingent upon the availability of funding.
