Opportunity Village Nepal (OVN) advocates for the rights of women and children and for their economic and social justice. The focus of its programs continues to been on abolition of child labor, prevention of human trafficking, promotion of girl child education and empowerment of women through various innovative strategies working closely with the communities they live in. Under its different projects focusing to internal human trafficking (adult entertainment sector),and cross-border human trafficking, OVN invites applications for the following positions:

1. Position: Project Officer cum Psychosocial Counselor(internal human trafficking- focused to adult entertainment sector, Kathmandu based – 1, Female Only)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead to plan and delivery the overall program/projects and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goal of the organization.
  • Develop and implement the detail implementation plan and ensure the quality and timely execution of project intervention.
  • Lead to reintegration of the project youth in their family/community. 
  • Motivate the female workers of Adult Entertainment Sector to join in the project activities and play the vital role to come out adolescent and women form the exploitative work environment
  • Conduct individual counseling, crisis management, group counseling, trauma healing session and BCC and life skill session to enhance capacity of the beneficiaries deliberately and as per need. 
  • Ensure the record keeping & Coding of every beneficiary – Base line survey form, assessment form, admission, health record file, beneficiaries history, counseling, session report, vocational/entrepreneurship training assessment, are at place.
  • Develop the individual care plan/individual case management file, case stories/success stories of the youth/project beneficiaries.
  • Lead to updates MIS date base, capture M&E data and develop case studies 
  • Prepare the qualitative and quantitative reports (monthly, quarterly, half-annual, annual and project completion, event reports, minute keeping and developed other support documents as per need of financial/ programmatic compliance and fundraising purpose
  • Lead to manage/update OVN's social media: (website, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Ensure effective team mobilization to ensure cohesive efforts and optimal project impact.
  • Monitor and timely reporting of all budgeted program expenditures and lead to track budget vs. expenditures.

Qualification:

  • Bachelors with minimum 3 years’ working experience in development field (especially anti-human trafficking project, adult entertainment sector project) including psychosocial counselling training/course 
  • Minimum of two years’ direct experience of direct service provision to survivors of trafficking (highly preferred) or with sexually exploited, abused and survivors of gender-based violence. 
  • Experience of working with networks/alliance of adult entertainment sector/anti-human trafficking.
  • Knowledge of child and youth participation methodologies and experience of coordinating youth activities.  
  • Efficiency in using word, excel, PPT together with other MS packages and internet.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Experience providing written reports and documentation of project activities
  • Ability to work in diverse team and environment with short deadlines and intense pressure.
  • Sensitive and responsive to Gender and Diversity, knowledge about Social Inclusion
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation skills.

2. Social Worker(internal human trafficking- focused to adult entertainment sector, Kathmandu based – 1, Female Only)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead to organize field visit and identify the project beneficiaries up to30 ages those who are working directly or indirectly in the youth entertainment sector, develop relationships with them and assess the supports needs to protect the rights of beneficiaries. 
  • Identify the owners of entertainment sectors and develop a good relationship with them to develop working environment with them. 
  • Lead to conduct base line survey, collect required information and provide project orientation to the beneficiaries
  • Effective and efficient communication in between project team and beneficiaries in terms of problem solving and protect the rights of beneficiaries. 
  • Organize meetings/training, in-house activities and other capacity building activities.  
  • Lead to formulate, strengthen and capacity building of saving and credit group. 
  • Identification of the youth for the business support and job placement, develop the activities and assist to develop individual plan of the youth those who takes the VT support from the project. 
  • Facilitate to develop the Business Plan of the youth and shared with team and prepared MOU while provide the VT and business support to the youth.
  • Lead to conduct in-house and external trainings, meeting, workshop, advocacy and community awareness program. 

Qualification:

  • Bachelors/Graduate degree with 2 years of experience in field of social work, social mobilization and outreach (especially in the field of GBV, adult entertainment sector and internal anti-human trafficking).
  • Minimum of two years direct experience of direct service provision with vulnerable and or exploited children youth, particularly those who have been victimized by commercial sexual exploitation. 
  • Experience of working with networks and alliance of entertainment sector
  • Good skill and knowledge in using word, excel and internet.
  • Good in written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Experience of writing reports and documents of project activities in both Nepali and English language.
  • Willing to travel and field visit when necessary at day and night time.

3. Project Officer (Cross-border Anti-Human Trafficking, Bhairahawa based – 1)

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead to plan and delivery the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goal of the organization.
  • Develop and implement the detail implementation plan and ensure the quality and timely execution of project intervention.
  • Prepare the qualitative and quantitative reports (monthly, quarterly, half-annual, annual and project completion, event reports, minute keeping and developed other support documents as per need of financial compliance, programmatic part and suggested by supervisor.
  • Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework.
  • Develop the individual care plan/individual case management file, case stories/success stories of the project beneficiaries.
  • Lead to rescue, repatriation, rehabilitation, reintegration and referral process in coordination/collaboration with key actors of cross-border anti-human trafficking
  • Lead and assist the project team in the development of project work plans, its rational implementation and tracking 
  • Lead to track budget Vs. expenditures and establish internal control mechanism at district level
  • Ensure effective operation of transit home 
  • Develop harmonious relationship with the government counterpart and non-government organizations stakeholders and community

Qualification:

  • Bachelors/Graduate degree with at least 2 years' experience working with vulnerable/exploited women, children and youth at risk or survivors of trafficking/sexual exploitation
  • Experience of working with networks/alliances of anti-human trafficking
  • Having experience on advocacy for the promotion and protection of vulnerable people.
  • Efficiency in using word, excel, PPT together with other MS packages and internet.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Experience providing written reports and documentation of project activities
  • Have proven skill on coordination and synergy building with GOs, NGOs, Network and cross-border organizations/stakeholders

4. Position: Social Worker cum Psychosocial Counselor(internal human trafficking- focused to adult entertainment sector, Pokhara based – 1, Female Only)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead to plan and delivery the overall program/projects and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goal of the organization.
  • Develop and implement the detail implementation plan and ensure the quality and timely execution of project intervention.
  • Lead to reintegration of the project youth in their family/community.
  • Lead to conduct capacity building activities and various creative activities.
  • Organize different kinds of orientation session/ meetings/training and in-house activities. 
  • Support to form peer support group and run group activity as per need through engaging, empowering and working together with Youth Motivator, working as outreach workers in the project, and Peer Educators for peer support group meeting PSG saving group meeting /session, advocacy campaign, awareness raising event, BCC session, life skill and other event and training.
  • Support to during the reintegration of the project youth in their family/community. 
  • Motivate the workers of Adult Entertainment Sector to join in the project activities and play the vital role to come out adolescent and women form the exploitative work environment
  • Ensure the record keeping & Coding of every beneficiary – Base line survey form, assessment form, admission, health record file, beneficiaries history with needed documentation, counselling, session report, vocational/entrepreneurship training assessment, training plan, re-integration plan, follow up plan, behaviour progress report (monthly, quarterly, half-annual and yearly) and so on.
  • Identification of the youth for the business support and job placement, develop the activities and assist to develop individual plan of the youth those who takes the VT support from the project. 
  • Facilitate to develop the Business Plan of the youth and shared with team and prepared MOU while provide the VT and business support to the youth
  • Develop the individual care plan, reintegration plan, case stories/success stories of the youth

Qualification:

  • Bachelors with minimum 3 years’ working experience in development field (especially in the field of anti-human trafficking, adult entertainment sector project and GBV related project) including psychosocial counselling training/course 
  • Minimum of two years’ direct experience of direct service provision with vulnerable and or exploited children youth, particularly those who have been victimized by commercial sexual exploitation. 
  • Experience of working with networks/alliances of adult entertainment sector/anti-human trafficking
  • Prior working experience of direct service provision with vulnerable and or exploited children youth, particularly those who have been victimized by commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Knowledge of child and youth participation methodologies and experience of coordinating youth activities. 
  • Experience of working in safe home is highly desirable.
  • Efficiency in using word, excel, PPT together with other MS packages and internet.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Experience providing written reports and documentation of project activities

5.    Position: Child Protection Officer (Child Protection Home, Pokhara, Hemja- based, Female-1)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the key focal point for the safety of children under the care and protection of OVN. This will require implementing child protection strategies and systems, including child protection policies, minimum standards for care services and code of conduct.
  • Identify potential risks to children, establish safeguards and conduct ongoing risk assessments regularly and when needed.
  • Maintain and Record keeping of every child residing in the home- assessment form, admission, explore additional support plan, educational file, health file, child history (both personal and legal file where applicable) and case management file, explore and plan re-integration schedules and share with the Supervisor, manage and maintain behavior/progress report (monthly or quarterly) and review as and when needed- report of all these to the Supervisor during weekly/monthly updates.
  • Lead to ensure that all the children’s physical mental and emotional health well-being is fully taken care of and if any problems occur- initiate immediate response to further treatment and healing action and record it properly. As and when needed, share and seek support of the Supervisor.
  • Make sure that the Child Protection Code of Conduct is signed by every visitor, OVN staff, OVN guests and guardians and educate to follow this inside home or out of home too including orientation and induction on Child Protection Policy to volunteers, staff and OVN guests.
  • Observe children’s daily activity and behaviors based on the day-to-day routine of the home, record them and mentor and provide study-coach to all children residing in the home and particularly to those who find difficulty with their school work and gather information in this regard from CPA.
  • Supervision and monitor of children’s study and improving healthy behaviors among one and all.
  • Lead to run in-house meetings and creativities with children by following ethical and meaningful child participation standards as mandated by UNCRC.
  • Conduct regular counseling for children and preparing child care plan for each individual child if needed along with their parents or guardian.
  • Maintain the children home visitor books, Phone call records of children. 
  • Lead the child protection related incident investigation committee and capacity building activities of project.
  • Supervise, monitor and follow regulations and safely standards in the home and visit the children’s home (where they come from) according to need.
  • Educate children and their family and neighbors of children home on child rights and child protection issues.
  • Keeping leave record of staff and lead administrative/financial documentation at CP home.
  • Develop harmonious relationship with government and non-government stakeholder and community.
  • Prepare the qualitative and quantitative reports (monthly, quarterly, half-annual, annual and project completion, event reports, minute keeping and developed other support documents as per need of financial and programmatic compliance and suggested by supervisor.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree with psychosocial counselling training/course and having extensive experience of working in child protection related program.
  • Having working knowledge on child right issues with demonstrated experiences in ensuring the rights of children to protection and participation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
  • She will be a person of high integrity, committed to meeting deadlines, willing to work extra hours with interest in addressing children, family and community development issues.
  • Experience in writing project proposals and reports, and managing and monitoring a program budget; knowledge of project cycle management.
  • Operational, organizational and communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues, staff and volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Child friendly, services oriented, innovative and creative, eager and quick to listen and learn with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in the empowerment of women and children.
