Loo Niva Child Concern Group is a National Non-Government Organization works to ensure Right to quality education of Children, education governance from child rights perspectives to the marginalized children with an emphasis on girls and Dalit since its establishment in 1997. 

Loo Niva Child Concern Group has signed a contract with RTI International for implementing and managing the community mobilization component of the Early Grade Reading Program (EGRP) in Dadeldhura District. Also In 2019, Loo Niva is implementing the project "Strengthening Education Policies and Ensuring the Right to Education in Nepal (SEEN)" for Ajaymeru and Ganyapdhura Rural municipalities of Dadeldhura in partnership with Interpedia with support from Ministry for Foreign Affairs Finland. 

For these two projects, Loo Niva is seeking applications from energetic and self-motivated Nepalese citizens for the following Dadeldhura based positions.

Position: Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Coordinator (MEDC) – 1

Project: EGRP

Duration: 11 Months

Description/Primary Responsibilities:

Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Coordinator (MEDC) is responsible to implement the monitoring and evaluation framework of community mobilization activities and produce and organize project related document reports, fact sheets, etc of community mobilization of Early Grade Reading Program (EGRP) to increase family and community support for Early Grade Reading project in Dadeldhura District.

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or related field
  • Experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation framework 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in designing platform, recording progress, producing documentation/reports and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience in team leadership and coordination. 
  • Experience in research, database management is preferred. 
  • Strong IT background, specially advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, SPSS and Strong  oral and written communication and report writing skills in English and Nepali.

Position: Community Mobilization Officer (CMO) - 2

Project: EGRP

Duration: 11 Months

Description/Primary Responsibilities:

Community Mobilization Officer (CMO) is responsible to implement community mobilization activities of community mobilization of Early Grade Reading Program (EGRP) to increase family and community support for Early Grade Reading under the technical guidance of Program Manager in Dadeldhura District.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, social work, or related field
  • Experience in community mobilization work: dealing with community forum and people 
  • At least 1 year experience in implementation and providing technical inputs on community mobilization and strengthening capacities of community forum.
  • Experience in conducting training for community forums 
  • Experience in early grade reading, primary education and ECD sector is preferred 
  • Competent in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Package 
  • Oral fluency in Nepali and local language for communication (relevant RC)
  • Reporting skills in Nepali is a must
  • Preference will be given to local resident of relevant resource center, familiar with the local culture and language

Position: Program officer - 1

Project: SEEN

Duration: 11 Months

Description/Primary Responsibilities:

  • Regularly visit to target area of project.
  • Coordinate and hold different trainings and workshops under this project, such as Work Shop and Teachers Training for quality education, Technology, Children's Magazine publication & distribution, Training for Teachers and Technology Training for students.
  • Document the learning experiences of the project on regular basis.
  • Report to Senior Program officer on the project's progress & challenges.
  • Prepare, collect and submit the monthly, semi-annually, bi-annually and annual reports to senior officer as well as Executive Director.
  • Identify the educational status of children in working area and find out children/youths that are deprived of education health.

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors'' degree in relevant field, 2 years' experience in related post.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building and conflict resolution skills 
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to determine priorities, be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer applications.
  • Strong budgetary skills and accounting experience.
  • Strong leadership and team-oriented skills.
  • Excellent writing skills in both English and Nepali.
  • Experiences and understanding on situation of Children/youths and education system of Nepal.

Position: Community Mobilizer -1

Project: SEEN

Duration: 1 year possibility of extension

Description/Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely implementation of the project (all components) activities in the field.  
  • Arrange trainings of the community, School, Teacher, Children and other stakeholders when required. 
  • Develop and maintain the necessary documentation and record of all project and organization activities.
  • Coordinate with Project Officer for necessary instructions and guidance.
  • Conduct initial meetings in community about EGP project
  • Sensitize community about the project activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • +2 degree in relevant field.
  • Experiences and understanding on situation of Children/youths and education system of Nepal.
  • Experience in community mobilization work: dealing with community forum and people
