Panchtara Yuwa Samrakshak Manch (PTYSM) is a non-profit, non-governmental, humanitarian, and development organization registered with the District Administration Office, Jajarkot, and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council. Established in 1997, PTYSM is led by dedicated young development professionals and social workers with extensive experience in rural development.

PTYSM operates across Karnali Province, focusing on food security and nutrition, SRHR, livelihoods, education, disaster risk reduction (DRR), humanitarian response, protection, and disability inclusion. The organization is guided by the principles of equity, inclusion, and resilience, ensuring meaningful participation and benefits for women, disadvantaged groups, and persons with disabilities.

In partnership with Ipas Nepal, PTYSM is implementing a five-year Health System Resiliency Program in Bheri Municipality, Kuse Rural Municipality, and Shiwalaya Rural Municipality of Jajarkot District, effective from January 2026. The program aims to strengthen health systems through collaboration with communities, local governments, and key stakeholders, with a focus on safe abortion services, community support and agency building, family planning, GBV prevention and response, health systems and policy strengthening, climate justice, and SRHR movements.

PTYSM invites applications from qualified, competent, and self-motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions:

1. Project Officer

Location: PTYSM Centre Office, Bheri Municipality, Jajarkot (approximately 80% visits to project sites)

Contract Type: Annual

Role Purpose:

Under the supervision of the Programme Director, the Project Officer will provide overall leadership and technical support for the Health System Resiliency Program at district and municipal levels. The role involves close coordination with communities, local government structures, and key stakeholders to strengthen safe abortion services, community engagement, family planning, GBV response, health systems and policies, climate justice, and SRHR initiatives.

Scope of Role:

  • Reports to: Programme Director
  • Supervises: Finance and Administration Officer, Community Health Assistants
  • Budget Responsibility: Yes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management, preferably in health or SRHR-related projects with I/NGOs

2. Community Health Assistant (3 Positions)

Location: Assigned Municipality within the project area

Contract Type: Annual

Role Purpose:

Under the direct supervision of the Project Officer, the Community Health Assistant will support the implementation of project activities at community and municipal levels, including coordination and networking with municipal health sections and like-minded organizations.

Scope of Role:

  • Reports to: Project Officer
  • Supervises: None
  • Budget Responsibility: No

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HA, Staff Nurse, ANM, or Health Diploma
  • At least 1 year of experience in community mobilization and coordination within the health sector
