Job opening for Travel Agency Manager

Job Location: BRP Group Office, Baluwatar

Job Description:

  • Planning travel accommodations, booking flights, hotels, car rentals and coordinating activities
  • Managing and processing all travel-related documents including payments, itineraries, visas, medical and legal forms 
  • Researching travel deals and evaluating prices and services
  • Liaising with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, to manage bookings and schedules
  • Cooperating with clients to determine their needs and advising them appropriate destination, modes of transportations, travel dates, costs and accommodations
  • Providing relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events etc) to travelers
  • Promoting and marketing the business
  • Implementing innovative ideas for achieving new business
  • Dealing with customer enquiries/complaints and aim to meet their expectations 
  • Attending travel seminars to remain updated with tourism trends
  • Preparing travel budget reports 
  • Maintaining statistical and financial records

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in tourism, travel, hospitality or relevant field
  • Proven work experience as a Travel Agent of at least 2 years 
  • Excellent knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travelling
  • Fluency in English; multilingualism is a plus
  • Strong sales skills and commercial awareness
  • Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively
  • Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends - an awareness of the current trends in travel and knowledge of popular and upcoming destinations is also important
  • Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
  • Time management skills - resilience to cope with long hours and pressure at peak times
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Competent IT skills
  • Communication skills
